The Ridgefield Youth Commission (RYC) is working on a project intended to spread kindness in the Ridgefield community and needs your help bringing the project to fruition. Inspired by the “Being Kind, Being Human” project, RYC is working with students, community groups and local organizations to create a mosaic mural made of clay tiles showing an unwritten message of kindness. Spreading kindness among our youth and community members is vital to a healthy, vibrant town and the RYC wishes to add a visual reminder of this message : to advocate against bigotry and to advocate for inclusion. Larger-than-life, beautiful designs in dynamic colors will radiate from the mural mosaic and enhance the outdoor space while making an impactful statement. The mural will be created in collaboration with Ridgefield students and community members and will be brought to life by professional mural artists Joann and Bruce Hunter, owners of The Art Spot. The mural will be installed on the outside of The Barn Teen Center facing Governor Street. This location has been approved by the Board of Selectmen, The Boys & Girls Club and the Ridgefield Historical Society. Please consider contributing to the RYC’s Imagine Project and make a lasting difference in our community. For more information about the project, call/text (203) 501-7424 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you in advance for your support!
