Have you been wondering what that fridge outside of Town Hall is all about? Perhaps you think it is an eye sore in the middle of our quaint downtown Main Street. Maybe you were talking a nice stroll and walked up to is and read the signs hanging on it. Or maybe you saw it mentioned on Ridgefield Patch or Hamlet Hub.
The Ridgefield Youth Commission have sponsored the fridge’s presence on Main Street as a reminder to parents in town that one of the most common places that underage children find alcohol is in the fridge at their house.
With April being Alcohol Awareness Month, the Youth Commission wanted to remind our parents to keep their alcohol locked up, know what they have and to do their due diligence to keep their alcohol out of the hands of their children.
